Lyrics in the songs are controversial because artists use profanity and you wouldn't want your younger family member listening to that. Your younger brother or sister might think that's okay and it's not respectful. The lyrics can also encourage others to accept the profanity and think that's the appropriate way to talk to one another. Another way music could be controversial because of the message in the song. The message in the song could affect them to do inappropriate things such as gun violence, smoking, and drinking.

How should we prevent those who are younger from listening to music filled with profanity, since it's already an issue?
ReplyDeleteHello JLester since profanity in music is everywhere these days there's only 2 options I can think of 1 we as people should teach children how profanity is disrespectful and hopefully that will make them bounce to the next option which is if a song they listen to has profanity then we should encourage them to listen to the clean version
